Our humble beginnings started in 2017, when our co-founder Drg. Alvin Tjiptarahardja Sp. Prost. came up with an idea for a device.

As a dentist specializing in Orthodontics and the owner of CiptaDLab - a dental prosthetic solutions provider in Indonesia (www.ciptadlab.com) - he is well-versed in dental prosthetics and cases surrounding them, including issues faced by dentists in general. Combined with his passion in general and dental photography, he saw a gap which was not quite filled in the dental industry. An easy to use and affordable device, which were capable of producing high quality photographs even using a low or mid-range camera devices - an idea for Lamp.U was born.

Numerous iterations and prototypes of Lamp.U were made. Tweaks to improve the design, the resulting photograph, and other general improvements were made. Until finally, a product was finalized and ready to launch. Overall, research and development of the product took more than a year to complete.

Lamp.U launched in mid 2018, starting in Indonesia, where the product was designed and manufactured. As the time goes on, improvements to the product, and relations to others in the dentistry industry were made. Lamp.U started to become available in some partner countries.
